Custom Usability Report

Skills: analytical writing, brainstorming, collaboration, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, Microsoft PowerPoint, project management, remote presentation, and survey data analysis
What and Why
As a Usability Analyst, I conducted heuristic evaluations of websites and apps and presented usability best practice recommendations to my clients. These deliverables were called Usability Audit Reviews (or UARs).

Problem
One of my long-term clients no longer had glaring usability issues and, therefore, needed a more customized deliverable from us to keep getting the same value from our services. I helped create a custom deliverable for this client who wanted to see a clearer tie between our survey data and usability recommendations.
Approach
Brainstorming/Collaboration/Hybrid Report
The Account Manager, Data Analyst, and I brainstormed and collaborated to combine our typical Data and Usability deliverables to create the first hybrid report for the client.
Struggles and Successes
This approach involved constant collaboration throughout, which meant we had to overcome some communication issues and build more time into the delivery window.
My teammates and I became much closer and were able to work more efficiently after creating this report together.
We were also able to create a template for others to follow in the future.

Outcome
The Hybrid report allowed us to really emphasize the connection between the survey data and the usability recommendations. The client loved it and Hybrids became an official offering at ForeSee.
