Podcasting

I am currently co-creating a podcast that explores the Harry Potter universe through the lenses of Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative healing, and somatic awareness. This project is a deliberate act of reclamation.

I recognize and name the profound harm caused by J.K. Rowling’s rhetoric regarding the trans community. As a feminist committed to human rights, I believe we can hold a compassionate boundary: we can utilize the rich, archetypal architecture of this story, which has served as a sacred container for so many, while explicitly rejecting the transphobia of its creator. We treat these stories as a map for understanding our own unspeakable parts, exploring how narrative can facilitate collective healing without bypassing the impact of real-world harm.

Coaching

As a Certified Wayfinder Coach and Psychosomatic/Parts Therapy Practitioner, I facilitate one-on-one sessions that help individuals navigate their internal systems. My work is grounded in the belief that when we find the precise language for our inner parts, we move toward wholeness. This practitioner lens directly informs my UX philosophy: designing digital spaces that prioritize the user’s nervous system and emotional safety.

WPC

I am a co-owner of the Wayfinder Psychedelic Collective, where I facilitate somatic-based microdosing cycles. My focus is on the architecture of safety, holding space to ensure every touchpoint of the journey is anchored in trauma-informed care and intentional integration.

Social Justice

Design for the Homeless

I volunteered with the Design for the Homeless project. A former coworker and I interviewed the clients and staff of the NOAH Project in Detroit (Networking, Organizing, and Advocating for the Homeless) during the field research phase of the project. We then collaborated on a talk at MidwestUX 2019 about how UX professionals can use their skills for social justice projects.

Voters Not Politicians

I analyzed the Voters Not Politicians website and made recommendations to improve the design, based on usability best practices. The ballot initiative went on to pass in Michigan!
